Yesterday was Martin Luther King Jr day in the United States. Here in Canada we donโt recognize his contributions that spread much further than just America by honouring him on his day of birth.
Why donโt we?
You all know how much I LOVE quotes! I feel like someone out there said something about what I’m feeling that is so profound, that I could never say it better than them. So, in honour of MLK Jr. I would like to share some of MY favourite quotes from the great civil rights activist and leader. His words are so uplifting, meaningful and needed. Although he spoke them over 50 years ago, his words still provide guidance, empathy and dedication to human rights even today. Sadly, perhaps even more so today. Thank you Dr. King for speaking out and providing us with a voice of reason, compassion and love that will resonate with the masses for as many years as needed before we, as a whole begin to love and respect one another equally

โCapitalism does not permit an even flow of economic resources. With this system, a small privileged few are rich beyond conscience, and almost all others are doomed to be poor at some level.
