We ran into an acquaintance the other day and I introduced SBean. She smiled and batted her eyelashes and then she said,
“Hi. Some people call me SydneyBean… some people call me Eardo. Sometimes I’m good and sometimes I’m bad.”
And she ended it with a shrug LOL
HBear started calling her a Weirdo a few days ago, you see, SBean has… A thing… For ears. SBean then said, “I’m not a Weirdo… I’m a EARDO!” Lol
She likes to nibble on your earlobes and give you kissy kissies on the ears. It is super awesome for someone like me that has constant ear pain due to my jaw issues. Every morning I wake up to a hot little mouth wrapped around my ear breathing heavily directly into it. Morning breath and all lol.
Seriously… SBean is pushing limits I didn’t even know I had. I am not the best Mommy version of myself by 7:30pm, to say the very least. Since she got her new bed she has been having nightmares.
I think.
It is impossible to get her down for one. And then she wakes up all throughout the night screaming her head off. Finally she stands at the foot of our bed by 6am SCREAMING Bloody Murder for her breakfast!
We need to re-evaluate our SBean Discipline Plan.
Right now, we use consequence. If she doesn’t go to bed she doesn’t get a picnic lunch with Paw Patrol. (I limit TV to lunch time so I can get a few things done while she eats). If she continues, no desert the next day. Then no Lorax. Then no books…
She won’t be eating desert until she’s 30.
Obviously not working.
🙁
Sooooooo,
we are almost through the second week of spring break! I have to say, it went pretty well. We have definitely been busy!
Visited Mom, it was funny, when we pulled up SBean said, “Nana was an Eardo too. She liked to cuddle me lots, right Mommy?” SBean was 7 months old when Mom died. She really did like to cuddle her though 💛
SBean got a haircut,
And we went to the Easter library time too!
I taught them how to Vogue this week… can you tell? LOL |
Then I went and got my hair done!!!! My twice a year haircut LOL. This year Dad bought me a GC for The Beauty Box in Summerland! Awesome! Loved it!
Today was get prepped for the weekend! My Sis, BIL, SweetPea, SIL and JQ all get into town tonight and tomorrow! The girls made presents for their cousins
while I chopped all my veggies for all dinners this weekend, I made 2 desserts, the sauce for dinner tomorrow, the noodle salad, the Caesar dressing, roasted sesame seeds and cashews, and baked Paska bread! Easter at our Ukrainian home ALWAYS included Paska bread! The 1st Easter after my parent’s moved to BC my MIL (who at that point was my boyfriend’s Mom) baked me Paska bread 🙂 Since we have been out here, I have looked and looked but haven’t found any. This year there was Paska at SuperStore but I decided to try baking it myself. It had to rise 3 times! It took almost 7 hours!! LOL
But it sure looks pretty 🙂
Traditional Ukrainian Paska Bread
1/2 teapoon plus 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup lukewarm water
1 package active dry yeast
1 1/2 cups milk
2 1/2 cups plus 5 cups flour
3 beaten large eggs
1/3 cup melted butter
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
Scald the milk and set aside to cool to lukewarm.
Add eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, melted butter, salt and 4 1/2 to 5 cups flour to make a dough that is not too stiff and not too slack. Knead until dough no longer sticks to the hand and is smooth and satiny (about 7 minutes in a mixer, longer by hand).
Punch down and let rise again.
Shape the dough into a round loaf and place in a 10- to 12-inch greased Dutch oven. Cover the pan with greased plastic wrap and let rise until almost doubled.
Heat oven to 400.
